West Didsbury & Chorlton are delighted to confirm their partnership with The Manchester College which will see them field a team in this year’s FA Youth Cup.
The Manchester College, whose alumni include former West Didsbury & Chorlton winger Carlos Mendes Gomes, will be hosting trials starting this Thursday at the Nichols Campus on Hyde Road in Ardwick, 5:30pm-8pm.
Carlos who spent the last two seasons with West Didsbury & Chorlton whilst studying at the Manchester College before joining Morecambe in June starred in West’s previous FA Youth Cup appearance in which they registered their first ever victory when they defeated Nantwich Town at Brookburn Road.
The Manchester College is the largest further education college in the UK offering an unrivalled choice of courses for school leavers at 16 including A Levels and other level 3 academic courses, vocational programmes, such as construction, and apprenticeships.
The college also boasts links with Football League side Morecambe, Manchester League side Manchester Central and junior football club Vipers.

Trials will be taking place on Thursday 12th, 19th and 26th July at Nichols Campus.
West have been drawn at home to City of Liverpool in the first qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup. The winner of the tie will face the winners of FC United or Nantwich Town at home. The games will take place at Brookburn Road under the lights.
