Seventy days after the curtain fell on the 2022/23 season, West's preparations for 2023/24 begin with a trip to North Wales and a return visit to Conwy Borough.
Last summer, on a gloriously sunny afternoon at the picturesque Y Morfa, West ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Ben Elliott and a penalty from a trialist.
West will be looking for a repeat performance against a Tangerines side now plying their trade in the Ardal North West, Wales' third tier, following a final day relegation from the Cymru North in April.
Sure to receive a warm reception from travelling West fans, former manager and club legend Andy Nelson remains a prominent figure at Conwy Borough as a committee member.
Follow West on Twitter for match updates.
Directions
By road:
Follow the A55 expressway and exit at Junction 17.
After exiting the A55, turn left and follow the sign towards "Conwy Morfa". After one mile, just after the archway, turn left into Penmaen Road. This road doubles back alongside the A55.
The ground is on your left after approximately half a mile.
The turn off for the ground is signposted.
Parking is available in various places:
1) in the industrial park, which is the first left as you exit the A55 at Junction 17. Follow the road around, there is a short pathway to the ground.
2) near the turnstile entrance (but this gets busy).
3) in the public car park in front of Springfield Nursery on the right-hand side as you approach the ground.
Please park considerately, taking care not to block driveways or prevent access.
By bus:
Take the 27 bus (Arriva) from Old Colwyn, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction or Conwy. It stops opposite on the ground on Penmaen Road.
By train:
The nearest stations are located in Conwy (18 minutes walk) & Llandudno Junction (39 minutes walk).
The 27 bus stops close to both stations.
Disabled facilities
A disabled toilet is available in the clubhouse with good access.
Please inform the turnstile attendant if you need further assistance inside the ground.
