RECREATION GROUND | BROOKBURN ROAD | CHORLTON | M21 8FE
by Matthew Durrant · 22/11/2017
Having been a fan favourite behind the bar all season, we're happy to announce that the Burton Road Pale Ale will be joined by a new signing for the visit of Northwich Victoria on Tuesday 28 November. Burton Road Brewing Co's new IPA will make it's debut at the NWCFL game next week, with offers to celebrate the launch of the beer too. Brewed with Chinook (which give beers a hint of grapefruit and pine) and Citra (melon, lime, passionfruit and gooseberry) hops, it promises to be a fruity addition to the matchday line-up at Brookburn Road.
Sold in 440ml cans, to celebrate it's launch the IPA will cost the special price of £3.50 each, or will be available throughout the game at 3 for £10. There will be a limited amount available on the night, so those desperate to get a taste of the new brew are advised to pick one up sooner rather than later.
Boz and Tom from Burton Road Brewing Co. said, “We’re delighted to be launching our new IPA with West. The beer has used a dry hop combo producing a mixture of fruit, citrus and pine, quite dry but refreshing, with a nice bitter bite to it. We hope you enjoy it! We’ve got several more beers planned for what promises to be an exciting 2018 for us. Here’s to our continued partnership with West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC”
West have stocked Burton Road's Pale Ale - “beautifully biscuity” according to reviews - since the tail end of last season when the brewery partnered with West. Burton Road Brewing Co. was founded in 2015 when the founders had been tinkering with pale ale recipes in their kitchens for several years before they hit on the perfect brew and decided to create their own company. As the founders lived and drank on Burton Road in Manchester’s West Didsbury, there was only one possible name for the company.
West have one final home game before fans can get their hands on a can of the IPA, however - the visit of AFC Liverpool on Saturday 25 November, in what promises to be a big test for either side running in to the hectic festive period. We look forward to welcoming you for this double header, and thank you for your continued support - come on, West!
