Barnton game postponed

Today's game has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

West make a belated start to 2022 with a trip to Cheshire to face Barnton.

Despite the postponement of last week's game at Brocton, West remain top of the First Division South - three points clear of second-placed New Mills with a game in hand.

Barnton ended 2021 six points above the relegation zone, but on a definite upward curve - the Villagers are unbeaten in their last four games, and ended the year with impressive draws against New Mills and Sandbach United.

West ran out comfortable winners in the sides' August meeting, with a Sam Heathcote hat-trick, alongside a Ben Elliott brace and a Billy Matthews strike, sealing a 6-0 win at Brookburn Road.
