We are delighted to announce the signing of Adam Dawson.
The 32 year old winger joins West having featured for Prescot Cables in the NPL Premier Division and fellow side NWCFL Premier Division side Burscough this season.
Having spent time in the academies of Bury and Liverpool, Dawson played EFL football for Accrington Stanley and Notts County, and in the National League for Kidderminster Harriers and Eastleigh.
Adam is delighted to have the opportunity to work under manager Paul Marshall, telling us, “I know Marshy well and I also know a few of the lads already at the club. The gaffer understands me as player but most importantly as person. I’m delighted to join the club and I'm hoping to make an impact from now until the end of the season to help the team in the play-off push..”
Paul Marshall is pleased to add former teammate Dawson to his West squad, explaining “Adam is someone who I played with at Radcliffe, higher up the pyramid. He's exactly what we need at this point of the season, with his experience and ability to create and score goals from nothing. He's a top player and a really good guy so it's a perfect match. Hopefully he can give the lads a boost going into the home straight..”
Adam goes straight into the squad for today’s trip to Cheadle Town.
Welcome to West, Adam!
