West came from behind to defeat neighbours Wythenshawe Town and advance to a Quarter Final against Chadderton.
Paul Marshall looked to use his squad wisely, making a quartet of changes. Jake Kenny and Lewis Billingsley were restored to the starting line-up while Jimmy Moore returned after a five game absence. There was also a full debut for Harvey Roberts, who had impressed from the bench against Ramsbottom.
Paul Riley and Tom Murray moved to the bench, while Max Sutton and Billy Matthews didn't travel.
The pitch was in good shape considering the recent deluge and the opening stages were evenly contested.
Andy Briggs headed West's first on target attempt, but Town struck first with Nick Hepple firing in just before the half-hour mark. West roared back though and equalised less than ten minutes later through Jack Banister, who finished well after being released by Briggs.
The sides traded blows but West performed strongly, Jimmy Moore and Harvey Roberts standing out in the spine of the team, before a sweeping team move saw Lewis Billingsley score the winner on 67 minutes and seal West's third-ever away win against a step 4 team.
Thank you to all the supporters who made the short journey to back the team, we'll announce details of the Quarter Final as soon as we have them.
