West blew Silsden away with a five-star performance on a memorable afternoon at Brookburn Road, setting up a 4th Round trip to North Shields.

Paul Marshall made five changes to the side that started at Burscough as Jimmy Moore and Tom Murray returned from suspension, and Jake Kenny came in alongside Tuesday's substitutes Lewis Billingsley and Victor Abadaki, who starts alongside Jordan Lazenbury for the first time since Barlick away in October.

Andy Briggs and Connor Hughes weren't available as they're cup-tied, as was Harvey Roberts, while Max Sutton and Billy Matthews moved to the bench. Dan Hewitt missed out after starting in midweek.

West started strongly and broke through on 19 mins as Lewis Billingsley supplied Jordan Lazenbury, a combination which repeated soon after to double the lead, Lazenbury's smart header giving Billingsley's fantastic cross the treatment it deserved.

Jack Banister then set Lazenbury up to complete a quickfire hat-trick, and Billingsley added to his two superb assists with a goal of his own - tapping in at full stretch after Banister's shot had come back off the post - to send West to the dressing rooms incredibly 4-0 up.

Billy Matthews added a fifth after half time - nodding in a rare headed goal, his first touch after coming on - before Casey Stewart registered the merest of consolation goals for Silsden.

The Cobbydalers were stunned into submission - they'd won 17 of 20 matches they'd played since exiting the FA Cup at Brookburn Road back in August, including a run of 14 wins on the bounce that only came to end during the week.

Jordan Lazenbury took the matchball home for the second time this season, following his treble at Longridge Town in September. It's also the third-fastest hat-trick of West's NWCFL era, and 20th overall.

Thank you to all 618 supporters in attendance. You created an unbelievable atmosphere on a day that will live long in the memory. Good luck to Silsden for the rest of your season.

With South Liverpool's defeat to Albion Sports, West are now the last remaining NWCFL Premier Division team in this season's Vase - with notable mentions for Atherton Laburnum Rovers and Abbey Hulton United, who are still flying the flag for NWCFL Division 1.

We now look forward to another trip to Newcastle, this time to take on North Shields on 11th January. Our home match against Prestwich Heys, which was scheduled for that day, will be rearranged.
