Saturday’s victory against Burscough saw Liam Delaney make his 100th appearance for the club. A fans’ favourite since joining the club in September 2020, Liam told us:

“It's a real honour to hit 100 appearances for the club, an achievement that I am proud of.

There are so many fond memories from my time here; from winning the league in 2022, the FA Vase run last year, the packed out crowds every week, my first competitive fixture against the newly reformed Bury. How far the club has come and where we are now is a huge credit to everyone involved, the fans, players, and staff. Having the fans travel home and away is truly amazing and epitomises everything this club is about. Here’s to many more appearances and hopefully some more trophies to add to the collection. Come on West!”

Chris Rowley was keen to praise Liam’s contribution to the club:

“Del has been a very valuable member of the squad since joining the club. Playing a key part in our promotion season & in our recent cup runs. He is also a popular lad in the dressing room which has helped keep the squad so tight. Here’s to the next 100 Del!”
