West will look to recapture the winning formula this weekend as they welcome Alsager Town to The Step Places Stadium.

Chris Rowley will be keen to draw a line under Tuesday night’s heavy defeat at Wythenshawe Town, a result which extended West’s winless run in all competitions to three matches. His side currently sit 10th in the First Division South, though only Cammell Laird have played as few games in the top half of the table.

On paper, a visit from the Bullets appears to be the perfect tonic – West put 12 goals past Alsager in three games last season, and the Staffordshire side have lost three of their opening four league matches. However, Stuart Tulloch’s side will consider themselves unfortunate not to have accrued more points, losing to both Maine Road and Vauxhall Motors by a single goal in their last two games.
