West chair, Steve Eckersley, said “We are a progressive club and recruitment to this new post will complete the portfolio of appointments the Board has targeted.  We have grown considerably over the past few years and we recognised the need for a strategic lead to help us achieve our high ambitions.

“This is an important and pivotal role as it involves supporting our existing teams, developing new teams and building networks with key stakeholders. As a voluntary role it is a tough challenge, however I am confident that the right person will make a significant difference to the way we approach our football development at West, particularly as we recover from the impact of COVID-19.”

Interested candidates should submit their CV, together with an outline of what they can bring to the role, in no more than 500 words to secretary@wdcfc.co.uk.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 31 July, 2020.
