A note to supporters | vs Stalybridge Celtic, 7.30pm kick off, Tuesday 3 September

With a hugely important fixture ahead this evening, all at the club would like to thank those who made the journey to Bower Fold in the original tie and thank them for their exemplary behaviour throughout – something which led to Stalybridge stewards asking for their regards to be passed on. We look forward to your vociferous support continuing tonight as we look to complete what would be a notable upset. We’d also like to remind supporters of their responsibilities: to remain off the field of play at all times, and to be respectful of our opponents regardless of the result. Our support has taken a notable step up this campaign, and we’re eternally grateful to all those who have turned up so far this campaign – our club would be nothing without you.

Please be aware that:

  • Tonight’s game is a 7.30pm kick-off. This is to ensure that, in the event of extra time and penalties, we are able to finish before 10pm: our curfew for floodlight usage. Read more here.
  • Season tickets do not permit entry to tonight’s tie. FA Cup rules state that ties must be all-pay in order to ensure that gates can be split between sides, and therefore our usual entry prices of £5 adults, £3 concessions apply.
  • If you are travelling to the game by car, we only have limited parking at the ground, and the surrounding areas of Chorltonville are private roads: these are not to be parked on. There is additional public car parking on Chorlton Ees opposite the Bowling Green pub, who are also allowing supporters to use the pub car park, but there is little other on-street parking close to the ground. If at all possible, please use public transport. Find out more about getting to Brookburn Road here.
  • For the first time this season, we will have physical programmes available on the gate, priced at £2. There will be 50 copies available, and we are unable to reserve any copies. We’ll be producing programmes throughout the season for games where it is deemed to be viable both financially and in terms of strain on volunteer time – two reasons we were unable to provide physical copies for our previous home league fixtures.

We look forward to welcoming you to Brookburn Road this evening, where more memories are sure to be made regardless of result. You can read our match preview here, or listen to our preview podcast here.
