West 1-4 Lower Breck – West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC

West 1-4 Lower Breck

Tuesday 4th October 2022, NWCFL Premier Division

West 1 (Gabidon 55)
Lower Breck 4 (Jebrin 48, 71, 90, Menagh 84)
Att: 264

West’s winning run was comprehensively ended by Lower Breck on a dismal night at Brookburn Road.

All five goals came in the second half, after a first period where Dontai Gabidon rattled the crossbar for the home side.

Jawad Jebrin opened the scoring for Lower Breck seconds after the restart, but Gabidon levelled matters soon afterwards with a spectacular 30-yard strike.

But the home side failed to take any momentum from the equaliser, and Lower Breck ran away with the game in the final 20 minutes. Jebrin scored two more to help himself to a hat-trick either side of Jamie Menagh’s strike, as West suffered a rare home defeat.

West: A. Jones, Cook, Graham, Delaney, Hampson, Hancock, Eme, McKnight, Elliott, Davis, Gabidon. Subs from: Vayro, Lewens, C. Jones, Dickinson, Swift.
