Snow Leopards Show Their Team Spirit

Words from Tim Manley:

The junior club continues to go from strength to strength. This year is the inaugural season of the U8 girls’ team, who following a team vote chose the name ‘Snow Leopards’. Strong, determined and with sharp teeth, the girls have been an absolute pleasure to coach and have made huge improvements in the few weeks they have been playing together. Most importantly, they seem to be having a lot of fun and are developing a great team spirit.

In October, the Snow Leopards took part in the first rounds of the South Manchester Girls League. It is a round-robin format, with each team playing several 8-minute matches against other sides from the local area. Modesty (and FA guidance) prevent reporting the scores of their matches – but the day was brilliantly organised and a great time was had by all. Highlights included some wonder-saves, great passing, tough tacking and an extraordinary goal that Ellen White would have been proud of. We cannot wait for the next round of fixtures.

Well done Snow Leopards!
