Junior Takeover Day: Barakah Food Aid donation drive

As part of their takeover game against Ashton Athletic this Saturday, our Junior section have chosen to run a donation drive for a organisation close to the club’s heart: Barakah Food Aid. An organisation that we have worked with in the past, have used Brookburn Road to help aid their mission since around the start of this season – and we are proud that our Juniors have chosen their annual game to highlight and aid the great work they do.

If you are able to, we’re asking for supporters to bring along a donation for the food bank – whether this is one tin of soup, or several bags full, every contribution will go a long way towards helping those who are experiencing food poverty and will be hugely appreciated. The flyer above has a list of suggested donations: these include both food and non-food items: a lot of this comes down to what the individual donating might need if circumstances were different. It is also worth bearing in mind that many of their packages may be delivered to families with children: any treats, would also be greatly received.
