West Didsbury & Chorlton Women have confirmed their provisional pre-season schedule ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Following a successful first season in which the women’s team finished runners-up in the NWWRFL Division One South, reached the First Round Proper of the SSE Women’s FA Cup and Semi-Final of the Manchester Women’s Cup they will this season field a team in the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League (subject to ratification at the AGM).

The first pre-season fixtures take place on Sunday 15^th July when the squad will be split in two with half travelling the short distance to NWWRFL newcomers Didsbury at the Didsbury Sports Ground, 12noon KO, and the other half travelling to Colne where they will take on NWWRFL Premier Division Champions Burnley, 2pm KO.

From there the two squads will play home matches consecutively on Hardy Farm and Brookburn Road respectively to allow the management teams of both squads the chance to see all the players in action.

Pre-season will finish on Wednesday 29th August with its showpiece finale against local neighbours Manchester Stingers before the season officially kicks off in the SSE Women’s FA Cup on Sunday 2nd September.
