Manager Steve Settle has made the first steps to strengthen his side ahead of the new season with the capture of midfielders Jack Langford and Rory Breslin from cross-town neighbour’s Maine Road.

Breslin, 24, arrives following seven seasons with the Roaders in which he made 185 appearances scoring goals intersected by a brief spell with Mossley in 2015.

Langford, 23, joins having made 107 appearances for the Brantingham Road side intertwined with a three year spell at Loughborough University in the Midland League Premier Divison where he made 23 appearances.

The pair, who made their debuts at Cheadle Town last night, join Tom Bailey, Josh Tinker, Mark Rogers and Saul Henderson in our ever-increasing ex-Maine Road contingent at the club.
