West Drawn at Home in FA Women’s Cup

West Didsbury & Chorlton Women will kick start their season in the SSE FA Women’s Cup when they welcome Warrington Wolverines on Sunday 3rd September, 2pm KO.

West start in the first qualifying round with 261 teams and 11 rounds separate them and a Wembley final of which Manchester City are the current holders having beaten Birmingham City in May. Prize money for the First Qualifying round will see the winners pocket £350.

Warrington Wolverines finished third in the NWWRFL Division One South last season and have already visited Brookburn Road last season when they overcame Chorltonian Ladies at the same stage winning 2-0 with Wendy Booth holding the distinction of scoring the first ever women’s FA Cup goal at Brookburn Road.

The winners of the tie will travel to the winners of Nelson v Blackpool in the second qualifying round.
