Trafford vs Meadowside: benefit game for Adam Ball, Sunday 30 December, 1pm, Brookburn Road

There is a game being played between Sunday league sides Trafford and Meadowside AFC for teammate Adam Ball who was sadly diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) 18 months ago.
Adam is a local lad who has been playing football for the majority of his life and the players that are taking part are those he has played with over the years.
Unfortunately due to the aggressive nature of this disease Adam has now lost all movement of his limbs therefore cannot work, all proceeds from the game will be going to Adam and his family to help with the care he needs for his long term health so your support would be greatly appreciated. The game will take place here a West Didsbury and Chorlton on Sunday the 30th of December, 1pm kick off.
For further information about this disease then please visit www.mndassociation.org
From JustGiving:

In October last year Adam was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (also known as ALS). This is a rare disease that affects the brain and nerves resulting in weakness that gets worse over time and can significantly reduce life expectancy.

There is currently no known cure for this disease however there are treatments available in the UK that can reduce the impact on daily life. There are also treatments available abroad that have the potential to increase life expectancy, however these treatments are very expensive.

Adam has a wife and two young boys and is considered a good friend amongst his colleagues at SPIE. A group of us have committed to doing all we can to raise funds to help Adam in any way we can as he learns to live with his condition.
