Preview

Chris Rowley’s side are coming into this one off the back of an extremely impressive 3-0 win at home to Padiham on the weekend which saw them return to winning ways after previously going three league matches without a win. They will be hoping to ride the momentum in this fixture and start a run similar to the one that has seen them start this season so well. It was hard to choose a player of the match over the weekend and that is testament to the hard work of the whole squad, which they take into every game.

When it comes to team news, the manager confirmed that West will be assessing Ben Elliott’s knee injury before selecting him the squad, and returning signing James Hooper’s availability will always be dependent on other factors as it is a dual registration.

The visitors Litherland come into this match in a different mood to West as they have not won in six games in all competitions, and they currently sit in 20th place in the league. With this in mind, they will certainly be desperate to put their recent form behind them and pick up a much needed win to improve their league form.

With both teams having much motivation to take all three points away, this game has all the makings of a cracker!

We hope to see as many of you as possible to get behind the lads and push them all the way for another league victory. Come on West!!
