MATCH PREVIEW | Congleton Town v West
Saturday 15th September 2018 (3pm), NWCFL Premier Division
Congleton Town v West
Booth Street, Congleton, CW12 4DG
£6 adults / £4 concessions
West head to Congleton on Saturday as they look to end the Bears’ flawless league start.
Steve Settle’s side will hope to continue a strong recent record against the Cheshire side, and a fourth win in a row against the Bears would be invaluable after last weekend’s disappointing defeat at Padiham. That reverse in Lancashire was West’s third in a row in all competitions and left them hovering above the relegation zone in the still-embryonic Premier Division table.
The Bears, though, have hit the ground running, winning all of their five league games without conceding a goal. They haven’t been quite as successful in the cups, exiting both the FA Cup and FA Vase in quick succession, but their strong league start was recognised earlier this week when they were named the Premier Division Club of the Month for August.
