MATCH PREVIEW | Charnock Richard v West
Saturday 31th March 2018 (3pm), NWCFL Premier Division
Charnock Richard v West
Mossie Park, Charter Lane, Charnock Richard, PR7 5LZ
£5 adults, £3 concessions, free for under-12s
West make a first visit to Charnock Richard for part one of the Easter double-header.
Steve Settle’s side go into a key weekend with their tails up following last Saturday’s win against Congleton Town, but they will need to put all thoughts of Monday’s South Manchester derby out of their mind when they travel to central Lancashire. Though Charnock’s midweek Macron Cup shootout defeat to Winsford United was their fourth game without a win, they remain in the top six as they approach the end of an excellent first season in the Premier Division.
The home side may be suffering from a wobble at the moment, but they can still rely on the Midas touch of Carl Grimshaw. The striker has six goals in his last five games, including a hat-trick in the league fixture against Winsford, taking him to an eye-watering 41 goals for the season.
