MATCH PREVIEW | AFC Darwen v West
Wednesday 7th March 2018 (7.45pm), NWCFL Premier Division
AFC Darwen v West
The Anchor Ground, Darwen, BB3 0BB
£5 adults, £3 concessions, £1 under-16s
West face another pivotal game at the bottom of the table on Wednesday as they travel to Darwen for a re-arranged game.
Steve Settle’s side will be looking to go one better than the 2-2 draw at home to Abbey Hey at the end of February after last weekend’s game against AFC Liverpool was postponed. West will also be aiming to complete a double over Darwen following the 4-1 win at Brookburn Road in January.
The Salmoners’ quest to pull off an unlikely escape act has been hindered by constant postponements – they haven’t played at the Anchor Ground since 19th December – but they did win their last game, 5-3 at Irlam, to end a run of 11 straight defeats.
