Friendly match: West vs Rochdale Sacred Heart, Saturday 12 December, 2.30pm

The club is happy to confirm that the opponents for this Saturday’s friendly fixture will be Rochdale Sacred Heart. Kicking off at Brookburn Road at 2.30pm, This will be the first time that the two sides have faced one another since 2011, when West triumphed 7-2 when both sides were still in the Manchester League.

Rochdale currently sit 2nd in the Manchester Football League Premier, having won the same league back in 2016/17 – two divisions below West. All at the club are hugely appreciative of Rochdale providing the opposition at such short notice as David Powell and his management team look to make the most of a rare blank Saturday.

The game will be free entry – although donations towards costs would be hugely appreciated, but not expected. The clubhouse will be open as usual throughout the game, and we would love to see you down at Brookburn Road to cheer on the boys in this rare mid-season friendly. Goal updates will be available through Twitter, and our next league fixture will see us take on Silsden on Saturday 19 January.
