Card & contactless payments – now available in the clubhouse

While Steve Settle has spent his summer toiling to make sure that West improve on the pitch, our committee has been equally diligent off the field – and today, we’re happy to announce our big summer signing: card and contactless payments, now available at every home game.

Using the iZettle system, the club can now accept card payments, contactless as well as Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay, which could revolutionise buying pints, pies and merchandise at Brookburn Road over the course of the 2017/18 season and beyond.

“As a fan, there are always two doubts in that back of your mind as a game enters the last 10 minutes: the first is a worry over whether West can hold on to their lead, the second being doubts over whether you’ve got enough money to get a pint after the game”, said Supporters’ Club spokesman Matthew Britton, “With this development, we’ll all at least be assured of a Krombacher at full time, regardless of the result”.

Payment thresholds for purchases will be finalised and announced ahead of our opening home friendly fixture against Atherton Collieries.
