As the year comes to a close, all at the club would like to wish our supporters a happy and prosperous new year. Over the past 12 months the club has grown immeasurably in a number of ways – with the fervent backing of an increasing fanbase being one of the most important features of 2017. This has been made doubly impressive over recent months given some fairly adverse results, none of which have stopped you from coming down to Brookburn Road to cheer on the side.

Perhaps the biggest development over the 12 months has been the creation of West Didsbury & Chorlton Women, a side that has already gone from strength to strength: the creation of a culture both on and off the pitch in such a short space of time has been notable and unprecedented. Elsewhere, our reserves side have been putting together some of the most impressive runs of results that the club’s second side have ever seen, while our junior teams are playing positive football in the right way, building both footballing and life skills for those involved.

None of these achievements over the past 12 months would’ve been possible without the help of our volunteers – of whom there are far too many to mention – or without the help of the wider Chorlton community, including sponsors both new and old. Whether you’ve watched every first team game home and away, have helped out behind the bar, or have only had the time to follow results through social media: we’re forever grateful for your support – and we hope to see you again in 2018.
