West face a quick reunion with Congleton Town as Non-League Day comes to Brookburn Road.

Four weeks after West were beaten 4-1 at Booth Street, the Bears make the journey north on the back of a difficult period on and off the pitch. Last weekend’s abandonment against Padiham was followed by a 1-0 reverse at home to 1874 Northwich – the Bears’ third defeat in a row after winning the previous seven league fixtures.

For West, midweek brought elimination from the Manchester Premier Cup at the hands of Droylsden, but Steve Settle’s side will expect to carry the momentum from a promising display into this weekend’s fixture. A change in fortunes is badly needed with West just three points above the Premier Division relegation zone.
