MATCH PREVIEW | West v Barnoldswick Town

Tuesday 2nd October 2018 (7.45pm), NWCFL Premier Division
West v Barnoldswick Town
Brookburn Road, Chorlton, M21 8FE
£5 adults / £3 concessions / free for under-12s

After a productive visit to Blackpool last weekend, West return to Brookburn Road on Tuesday as they look to secure consecutive wins for the first time this season.

A late goal from Saul Henderson was enough to edge out Squires Gate on Saturday and hand West their first victory in six attempts. Steve Settle’s side will hope to build on that momentum against a Barlick side who have started the season impressively under the stewardship of former Maine Road manager Matt Barnes. The visitors are nestled inside the top six and hammered Runcorn Town 5-1 two weeks ago.

West’s clean sheet against Squires Gate was their first shut-out since August 2017, and a similar defensive showing will be needed if they are to prevent Zack Dale from finding the net – the Barlick hitman has 11 goals from his first ten games, including four in his last four.
